About ETF

The ETF Program has been very successful over the years. From its inception in 1991 ETF has helped employers train over thousands workers to learn invaluable new skills for their jobs. With these new skills, employees are now able to better perform in their jobs and seek out increased pay or promotions.

Apply for Employment & Training Fund (ETF)

Discount for Electrical Technology Program courses – up to $400 discount per course

Following are the steps to apply for ETF funding:

1. Complete an ETF application form for EACH EMPLOYEE with employer signatures required on page 1 and page 2, Section I and IV (pls ask employer not to sign vendor part):

DLIR costs: $400

FOR MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN (80 hour, 4-month long program)

Course No. & Section: TRAD8940-020

Course Title: Electrical Technology Program – Journey Worker Electrician (EJ)

Class dates: January 27 – May 11, 2021

Total Tuition: $1,695

DLIR costs: $400

Employer costs: $400

Excess balance: $895

2. Fax the completed form to Workforce Development at 808-984-2090 OR scan and email it to: Stephanie.Rickard@hawaii.gov

3. The form must be received at least 10 business days prior to the first day of class. The Workforce Development office will review the submitted application forms, and they will then send their approval to UHMC. UHMC will then contact the employer for payment prior to registration.
