Situated on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College is an accredited college that offers three bachelor of applied science degrees, a wide variety of associate degrees and certificates, as well as distance learning degrees through its UH Center on campus. UHMC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools & College.

Location:  UH Maui College Great Lawn
Date:  Thursday, May 9, 2019
Time:  5:30pm
Student Check-in: 3:00pm

Registration and RSVP is REQUIRED to participate.
Check your hawaii.edu email for an invitation.  If you have not received one, please contact us.

Emails with more information and links to RSVP will be going out the end of March 2019 or beginning of April 2019.

Deadline to RSVP: Friday, April 26, 2019

SCHEDULE

3:00 pm – Student Check-in.  Enter the Pāʻina Cafeteria and look for the University Center tables.

3:45 pm – Rehearsal Begins.  Students will be directed to Pilina for picture taking and the Great Lawn for rehearsal.  Rehearsal is important to save your spot in line – especially since we have multiple campuses graduating at one time.  Your space in line is important!

4:45 pm – Line-up and Picture Taking.  You will be guided to your positions in preparation for your entrance into the commencement ceremony.  Take a photo to commemorate this wonderful day!  Order forms are available online (TBA) and on commencement day.

5:30pm Commencement Begins!  Breathe, smile, and enjoy the moment!

Ceremonies typically end around 7:00pm

COMMENCEMENT AND THE UH CENTER, MAUI

Congratulations!  Graduation is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have on your career journey.  Completing an online degree is no small feat and we co-host commencement ceremonies to celebrate YOU.

In recognition of this milestone, UH Center invites degree and certificate candidates from our distance learning facilitated programs to participate in commencement exercises on Maui.

Commencement exercises are held once a year in mid-May.  If you obtained your degree at the end of the previous Summer or Fall semesters, or will be obtaining your degree in the Spring or upcoming Summer semesters, you are encouraged to participate.
