DESIGN YOUR OWN MAJOR: BACHELOR OF INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES

UH Mānoaʻs Outreach College on Maui presents a flexible and uniquely student-designed bachelor of arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (36 credit hours). The IS program on Maui offers Mānoa courses taught by respected faculty at UH Maui College, bringing Maui Nui residents an opportunity to engage in higher learning through face-to-face instructed classes and on-line classes via Laulima. The emphasis for this degree is in “Human Relations in Organizations” and attracts students interested in human and cultural relations and those who desire a basic understanding of organizational theory and practice.
Students design an academic program that aligns with their interests, needs, and goals. Working closely with faculty advisors from Mānoaʻs Outreach College on Maui and Interdisciplinary Studies, students develop a coherent, multidisciplinary course of study and have the flexibility to concentrate on a specific area of interest or to take a broader approach to their studies.

Our distance program is coordinated by the UH Mānoa Outreach College on Maui, located at the UH Maui College campus. For further information, please contact the Maui program at 808-984-3444 or by email at mauioutr@hawaii.edu.

OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY ECAMPUS

DEGREE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

UH Center partners with Oregon State University (OSU) through its Degree Partnership Program (DPP).

Through the DPP, qualified students submit a single application for admission to both OSU and UH Maui College. Students may attend classes (including online courses) at both schools, combine credits for financial aid eligibility, and have the option of using campus facilities and services at both schools. DPP expands the course offerings available to students, and gives them access to OSU advising so that they can plan the most direct and cost effective route to graduation.
