We will also touch on the world of fabrics, basic fashion design concepts, measuring the body for fit and how to read a commercial sewing pattern during this three-day class. Students will be asked to supply their own fabrics for our fun sewing projects that will be completed each class. Students should bring their own domestic sewing machine to class, as being familiar with how to operate your machine is critical to successful sewing endeavors. A very limited number of machines in the sewing lab will be available for use. Please email the instructor if you would like to reserve one. No previous sewing experience is necessary.
