Our Location

UHMC HO’ĀLA offers continuing education courses throughout the year. Subjects include ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography & music. Join us and develop your own esthetic. Instruction is flexible emphasizing both design and creativity.

This class is a continuation of learning basic sewing skills ENR6069. To enroll in this class students should have taken Beginners Sewing Level I class or have the basic knowledge and skills for operating a domestic sewing machine. In this class you will learn to sew two accessories, a zipper pouch and Japanese knot bag. Students will also learn to sew a  pajama pants with elastic from a sewing pattern and learn basic hemming techniques.The instructor will provide required supply list before the first day of class.

Students are encouraged to use own sewing machines. However, we do have limited sewing machines available for students to use on a first come first served basis.

Music

An Introduction to Ableton

In this course, students will learn the foundations and fundamentals of using Abelton, one of the most popular music creation software programs for live performance and studio recording. We will learn to use MIDI, track audio, arrange and perform views, record, edit, and use digital effects.

Students should have an Abelton account (https://www.ableton.com/en/) and bring their personal laptop (Mac or PC) for best results.
