The Office of Continuing Education & Workforce Development (OCEWD) is looking for industry experts to help build Hawaii’s workforce of the future. By leading our training programs you’ll pass on your knowledge to participants who can greatly impact local industries.
Positions are part-time for those looking to keep busy or supplement their full-time income. As an instructor you will work with our staff to develop curriculum, build schedules and implement marketing strategies. No teaching experience is necessary but previous training or mentoring experience is preferred. View current openings below.

Instructor Positions Available
CDL Driving Instructor
Teach students how to inspect and operate a commercial motor vehicle safely through classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. Assist in the development of curriculum, lesson plans, and daily activities. Applicants must have a current commercial driver’s license. Part-time and forty hour positions are available. Previous training or mentoring experience is preferred.
Nurse Aide Instructor
Maintains a Hawaii State LPN or RN License. Provides instruction and evaluation of student performance in class/lab and clinical experience. Maintains lab supplies and equipment. Supervises the classroom/lab and clinical experience. Maintains a cooperative working relationship staff and clinical sites to provide a safe learning environment. Part-time positions available. Previous training or mentoring experience is preferred.
